SATURDAY, JULY 5 - Come join us as we travel to Alberta, Canada for a combination of great western times and beautiful scenery. Our adventures will take us to Glacier National Park, The Calgary Stampede, West Edmonton Mall and Jasper National Park. We will have a hosted lunch at The Sizzler. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Holiday Inn Express in Winnemucca, Nevada.

 

SUNDAY, JULY 6 - Hosted continental breakfast at our hotel this morning. We continue traveling east stopping for a hosted lunch at Jackpot. This afternoon we will travel to Idaho Falls where our accommodations for the night will be at the Shilo Inn.

 

MONDAY, JULY 7 - Hosted buffet breakfast at our hotel before we travel north to Montana. Our first stop will be at the Fred’s Mesquite Grill where we will enjoy a hosted lunch. This afternoon a guided tour of the Copper King Mansion. This 37-room Victorian house was the residence of W.A. Clark, a U.S. senator and “copper King”. Now a national historic landmark, the restored 1844-88 mansion is furnished in period and serves as a showcase for numerous collections. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Holiday Inn Express in Helena, Montana

 

TUESDAY, JULY 8 - Hosted continental breakfast at our hotel. We start the day with a guided boat cruise of the Gates of the Mountains where you will see the beautiful 1,200-foot limestone walls the line the canyon where the Missouri River pushes through the Big Belt Range. We have a hosted lunch at the Silver Star. After lunch there will be time to explore shops in the historic part of town. This afternoon we board the Last Chance Tour Train for a narrated tour through the present and past of Helena. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula, Montana.

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 9 - Hosted breakfast this morning before we travel north into Glacier National Park. There we be a hosted hosted lunch at Lake McDonald Lodge. This afternoon we will board our historic Red Bus and enjoy the spectacular views as we travel the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier National Park.

 

THURSDAY, JULY 10 Today we travel north to Canada. Our first stop will be for a hosted lunch in Fort Macleod. This afternoon we go to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. The interpretive centre at Head-Smashed In blends unobtrusively into the ancient sandstone cliff. Its interior is made up of five distinct levels depicting the ecology, mythology, lifestyle and technology of Blackfoot peoples within the context of available archaeological evidence. Our accommodations for the next four nights will be at the Holiday Inn Express in Calgary.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 11 - Hosted continental breakfast at our hotel this morning. Today we will travel to Drumheller to visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Begin your journey through geological time. With every step on your self-guided audio tour you'll experience the evolution of life. From sea dwellers to the Tyrrell's BIG attraction, the dinosaurs; to the rise of those furry little mammals and many of Earth's inhabitants in between. It's all here. Dozens of skeletons and hundreds of fossils that tell the story of ancient Alberta. Tonight there will be a hosted Murder Mystery Dinner at the Historic Fort Calgary.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 12 - This morning we have a hosted continental before we depart for the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede. You will have time to explore all of the exhibits, entertainment, casino and rides and have lunch on your own. This afternoon we have clubhouse seats, enclosed and air conditioned, as we watch the wildest three hour show in the world, The Calgary Stampede. Tonight enjoy a hosted dinner at M. T. Tuckers.

 

SUNDAY, JULY 13 -. This morning we start our day with a hosted continental breakfast before departing for a guided tour of Olympic Park and Hall of Fame. We will stand on the top of the 90 foot ski jump and see the fast paced track of the bobsled/luge track. After our tour we will have a hosted lunch overlooking Olympic Park. Tonight we Platinum seats for the grand finals of the Chuck Wagon Team Races. After the races we will see the spectacular Grandstand show, which ends with a huge fireworks display.

 

 

MONDAY, JULY 14 - Hosted continental breakfast before a late morning departure for Edmonton. Enjoy a hosted lunch in Red Deer before our guided tour of the Canadian Petroleum Discovery Centre. The centre provides insight into the workings of the oil industry and also looks at area history and how Canada became self-sufficient in oil production. Late afternoon arrival at the West Edmonton Mall which is sometimes known as the 8 th wonder of the World. Our accommodations for the next two nights will be at the Fantasyland Hotel & Resort located inside the Mall.

 

 

TUESDAY, JULY 15 -Put your walking shoes on and get the charge cards out because seeing is believing this incredible place. They have over 800 stores and services offering everything from high fashion to hardware. 26 theaters, 110 restaurants, 17 giant water slides, a wave pool, a submarine ride that takes you past coral reefs, live sharks, dolphins, exotic fish and a lost sunken treasure. An exact replica of the Santa Maria Ship, a miniature golf course and a Las Vegas style casino. They have free dolphin shows, an indoor ice arena, a Ferris wheel and a rollercoaster, all under one roof. Enjoy your day!!

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16 - This morning we set out along the Trans Canada Highway for Jasper National Park stopping for a no host lunch in Hinton. Our accommodations for the next two nights will be at the Marmot Lodge in Jasper. Tonight we take the Jasper Tramway which is the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada and the only guided aerial ropeway in the Canadian Rockies. We will have unprecedented views of six mountain ranges, glacial fed lakes, the Athabasca River, Alberta’s longest, and the scenic mountain town-site of Jasper. Enjoy a hosted dinner at the top.

 

THURSDAY, JULY 17 - Today we will travel south along the Icefields Parkway stopping at view points along the way. We’ll have a hosted lunch at the Columbia Icefield Centre. After lunch we will travel in a specially designed Brewster Ice Explorer to the middle of the glacier. The driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out interesting geological features as we travel in safety and comfort. At the mid-point, you will have the option of stepping out onto ice formed from snow falling as long as 400 years ago. We will travel back to Jasper where the evening will be free.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 18 - This morning we have a float trip on the Athabasca River while enjoying the beauty of Jasper National Park. Hosted lunch in Blue River. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Holiday Inn Express in Kamloops.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 19 - Today we are off to Hell’s Gate Airtram. The tram descends 502 across the river to the narrowest part of Fraser Canyon and across Hell’s Gate Fishways, where millions of salmon annually swim upstream to their spawning grounds. We will have a hosted lunch. This afternoon we return back to the United States. Our accommodations for the night will be at Embassy Suites in Lynnwood, Washington.

 

SUNDAY, JULY 20 - Hosted breakfast at our hotel this morning. Today we explore the area around Pioneer Squarein Seattle with it’s turn-of-the-20th-century storefronts. Our tour will include subterranean sidewalks and storefronts created when street levels were raised 8 to 35 feet following a fire in 1889. Enjoy a hosted lunch at the Falls Terrace overlooking the Tumwater Falls. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Doubletree Hotel in Portland.

 

MONDAY, JULY 21 - Today we will continue traveling south stopping at Eugene for a no host lunch. Our accommodations for the night will be at the Riverside Inn in Grants Pass. Tonight we will board the Rogue River Hellgate Jetboat for a cruise down river to the start of Hellgate Canyon. We will have a hosted dinner stop on the way back.

 

TUESDAY, JULY 22 - Our final day! Hosted continental breakfast at our hotel. We travel back to California stopping at Harry and David’s for shopping. Hosted lunch at the Tail ‘O the Whale. Approximate arrival time home will be 6:00 p.m.

You may cancel up to May 9 with no penalty. After May 9 there is no refund. Trip cancellation insurance is available for $222.00 per person, dbl., 210.00 per person, tpl. and $318.00 single and must be paid with final payment. If premium is paid with tour deposit the exclusion in the policy for pre-existing medical condition is waived if you are not disabled from travel when you pay your premium. Full coverage details will be sent to you upon receipt of payment. Extended insurance to cover Accidental Death, Medical Expenses/Emergency Assistance, Trip Delay, Baggage and Baggage Delay may be purchased for and additional $50.00 per person and can be purchased with your final payment. We are unable to make refunds on portions of unused tours such as meals, attractions and transportation or any other tour included items once the tour has commenced. Reserved seating is assigned at time of deposit. There is no smoking on the bus, however, frequent rest stops will be made enroute.
